Byron Phillips named as new Controller for Helena Industries, Inc.

Collierville, Tennessee - (June 1, 2008) Mr. Byron B.Phillips, CPA has been named as Controller for Helena Industries, Inc effective June 1, 2008.  Byron has been with Helena Chemical for twelve years, most recently in the capacity as Inventory Accounting Manager.  Byron is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Accounting. He currently resides in Olive Branch, Mississippi with his wife Cindy and their two children. 

In a separate announcement, Byron Phillips was named Secretary and Treasurer of Helena Industries, Inc. by the Board of Directors.

Collierville, Tennessee - (February 22, 2008) Mike McCarty, CEO and President of Helena Chemical Company has been named the Chairman of the Board of Helena Industries, Inc. effective immediately.  Mike is taking on the Chairmanship position from Buddy Braswell who has recently retired from Helena Chemical.  Buddy will remain on Helena Industries' Board for the foreseeable future.  "We are very excited about Mike taking on the Chairmanship" says Rob Baldwin, President of Helena Industries, and "we are thankful of Buddy's leadership over the past couple of years".  "Mike's Industry knowledge and contacts will assist us in our strategic growth initiatives and we are chartered to expand our contract manufacturing offerings in our major market segments.  This is a very opportunistic time for us and we look forward to improving our strategic alliances and service levels for our customers", says Baldwin.

Helena Industries Launches New Website

Collierville, Tennessee - (January 31, 2008) Rob Baldwin, president and CEO, announced today that Helena Industries launched a new, more information-rich website.

The redesigned website provides simple access information and a more user-friendly organization of information.  The look and feel of the site complements the Helena Industries' brand and is designed to engage site visitors to explore the site to discover information and resources important to the chemical manufacturing industry. The site also provides potential customers a user-friendly means to submit project specifications to Helena Industries, which will save time and potentially shorten project negotiations.

Baldwin stated, "When determining what we really wanted to accomplish with the Helena Industries' site redesign, we kept our clients' needs top of mind. Our goal was to provide information potential clients and clients need about Helena Industries' capabilities and services to better guide them in their toll manufacturing partner decision.  The plant comparison chart visually depicts the capabilities and processes for each plant location."

Rob Baldwin Appointed President at Helena Industries

Collierville, Tennessee - (November 8, 2007) Helena Industries announced today Rob Baldwin's appointment to president and CEO of the company.

Buddy Braswell, Helena Chemical Vice President of Technical Services, announced the appointment of Rob Baldwin as President and CEO of Helena Industries effective immediately.  Baldwin's new responsibilities are the result of the previously announced resignation of Clay Pace, after his acceptance of a new position at another company.

Baldwin joined the company in August 2007 as Director of Manufacturing, responsible for enhancing all facets of Helena Industries' processes to deliver quality chemical solutions for their clients.  As President, Baldwin is charged with leading Helena Industries to work toward their vision to be the most respected provider of contract services, and serving as a vital link in the supply chain assembling goods and services which enhance people's lives. 

Prior to joining Helena Industries, Baldwin founded Synchronous LLC where he was the Principle Partner. Baldwin spent 26 years with Rohm and Haas and Unocal in multiple roles both domestically and internationally. He has a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. Baldwin's expertise centers on manufacturing management, supply chain optimization, strategic planning, global business management, safety leadership, change management, continuous process improvement, and best practices deployment.

Braswell stated, "Baldwin's background in leading multi-site networks of manufacturing plants and implementing high performance, continuous improvement cultures has well-prepared him to lead Helena Industries."
